The Google Pixel 10a 5G is one of Google’s most affordable smartphones, combining a bright OLED display, Google’s Tensor G4 processor, capable cameras, long-term software support and a large battery. It runs Android 16 and brings many of Google’s AI-powered features to a more affordable price point. 
With a starting price of $499 in the US, the Pixel 10a is aimed at users who want a premium Android experience without paying flagship prices. In India, Google lists the Pixel 10a at ₹52,999 for the 256GB model at the time of writing.

Google’s official specifications confirm that the Pixel 10a uses a Tensor G4 processor, 8GB of RAM and offers 128GB or 256GB of storage depending on the market and configuration.
Design and Display
The Pixel 10a features a 6.3-inch Actua pOLED display with a 1080 × 2424 resolution and a 60–120Hz Smooth Display refresh rate. The screen can reach up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, making it particularly well suited for outdoor viewing. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Google has also given the phone an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The device uses a composite matte back with a satin aluminium frame, giving it a clean and understated Pixel design.
Available colors include Lavender, Berry, Fog and Obsidian.
Performance
The Pixel 10a is powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chipset and includes the Titan M2 security coprocessor. While it isn’t designed to compete directly with the fastest gaming-focused smartphones, the hardware is well suited to everyday activities such as social media, streaming, photography, multitasking and AI-powered applications.
The Tensor G4 also enables many of Google’s machine-learning and AI features, including Gemini, Circle to Search, Live Translate and other Pixel-exclusive tools.
One important point for buyers is that the Tensor G4 is not a new-generation processor in 2026. Reviews have consequently described the Pixel 10a as more of a refinement of the previous generation than a major hardware upgrade.
Camera Features
Photography remains one of the Pixel 10a’s biggest strengths.
The phone has a dual rear-camera system consisting of:

- Optical and electronic image stabilisation on the main camera

The rear camera can record video at up to 4K resolution at 60 fps, while the front camera supports 4K video at 30 fps.
Battery and Charging
Battery life is another highlight. The Pixel 10a packs a 5,100mAh battery, and Google claims more than 30 hours of battery life under its testing conditions.
The phone supports fast charging, with Google stating that it can reach up to 50% in approximately 30 minutes when used with a compatible 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher. Wireless charging is also supported.
The charger is sold separately, so buyers should factor that into the overall cost if they don’t already own a compatible charger.
Android 16 and Google AI
The Pixel 10a launches with Android 16 and includes Google’s latest software experience for the device.
AI is a major part of the Pixel experience. Features include Gemini, Gemini Live, Circle to Search, Live Translate, Call Assist and AI-powered photo editing tools.
Google is also promising seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates, which gives the Pixel 10a an unusually long software-support window for a mid-range smartphone.
5G Connectivity
The Pixel 10a supports 5G Sub-6GHz connectivity, alongside Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6 and NFC. The Indian model supports a broad range of 5G bands, making 5G connectivity a key part of the phone’s appeal.
Actual network speeds will depend on the carrier, location, network congestion and available 5G bands.
