The POCO X8 5G has appeared on the Geekbench 7 database, revealing important details about its processor, RAM and software ahead of its launch. The listing for the global variant suggested that POCO was preparing a high-memory configuration of the smartphone, with the device running Android 16 out of the box.
The smartphone appeared on Geekbench with model number Xiaomi 2607DPC18G, which was previously associated with the global version of the POCO X8 5G. According to the listing, the device recorded a single-core score of 849 and a multi-core score of 2,841.
Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 Powers the POCO X8 5G
The Geekbench listing identified Qualcomm’s SM6435 platform, pointing towards the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. The processor features an octa-core configuration with four cores clocked at up to 2.40GHz and four efficiency cores running at 1.80GHz.
This chipset is designed for mid-range smartphones and is expected to offer a balance between everyday performance and power efficiency. The POCO X8 5G is therefore positioned to handle regular tasks such as social media, streaming, multitasking and gaming.
12GB RAM Configuration Spotted
One of the biggest highlights of the Geekbench listing was the memory configuration. The tested device showed 11.13GB of usable memory, indicating that the commercial model could feature 12GB of RAM.
Interestingly, the Indian retail lineup also includes lower-memory configurations, while the Geekbench result demonstrates that POCO has tested a higher-RAM variant. Current specifications listings show the X8 5G available in multiple configurations depending on the market.
Android 16 Out of the Box
The Geekbench listing also confirmed Android 16 on the tested device. The POCO X8 5G runs Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, giving users access to the latest Android platform and Xiaomi’s updated software interface.
POCO has also committed to long-term software support, with the phone listed for four Android OS updates and six years of security updates.
9,000mAh Battery and 120Hz AMOLED Display
Beyond its benchmark performance, the POCO X8 5G packs a major battery. The Indian version comes with a 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and supports 67W HyperCharge. It also supports 22.5W reverse charging, allowing the phone to charge compatible accessories and other devices.
The smartphone features a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K-class resolution. The combination should make scrolling, video playback and supported games look smoother.
The phone also carries multiple durability ratings, including IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K, giving it strong protection against dust and water exposure.
POCO X8 5G Price in India
The POCO X8 5G was officially launched in India on September 4, 2026, with the starting price listed at ₹29,999. The smartphone is scheduled to go on sale from September 11.
