Motorola Edge 60 Pro vs OnePlus 13R comparison
Introduction
Should you buy the Moto Edge 60 Pro for ₹33,999 or should you spend ₹6,000 more for the OnePlus 13R?
Now, you must be wondering, the 60 Pro is ₹30,000. Where did ₹33,999 come from? Not the 12GB variant that we tested.
Build Quality and In-Hand Feel
The first thing that I can’t wrap my head around is the fact that how is the OnePlus 13R slimmer or thinner than the Moto Edge 60 Pro on paper? Because in real life, when you hold these phones in the hand, the curved back and the curved front of the Moto along with the thin frame actually make it feel slimmer.
But yes, OnePlus has used a more premium material for the frame itself. You get aluminium as opposed to plastic on the Moto Edge 60 Pro and you also get a wider frame. Therefore, it’s also got more area to grip onto.
That said, I still feel like the Moto Edge 60 Pro is more comfortable to hold just because of that curved rear and the fact that it is also lighter compared to OnePlus.
As for the backing material, you get vegan leather on the Moto Edge 60 Pro whereas on the OnePlus 13R, you have glass. In real life situations, vegan leather will get stained easily as opposed to glass, which will actually break easily. That could be an issue with the OnePlus 13R, especially considering we don’t know what kind of glass protection OnePlus has used. So, you might want to use it with a case.
Design Overview
Talking about the design itself, while the Motorola Edge series design is kind of old now, I still like it a lot and I prefer it over the design of the OnePlus 13R.
You know that with this you get a distinctive Edge series design. I really like that fused camera module, and now this nylon texture for the vegan leather is also a really nice touch.
The Moto Edge 60 Pro is also more durable because you get better IP rating and military standard 810H certification, which you do not get with the OnePlus.
Unfortunately, both phones have a Type-C 2.0 port at the bottom, which should have been Type-C 3.1 for faster transfer speeds.
With Motorola, you get an extra AI button. With OnePlus, you get your trusty old alert slider, which is sadly going away soon. Also, you get an infrared blaster at the top.
Display Comparison
We’re back to the flat display vs. curved display debate. The Moto Edge 60 Pro has a curved display, and the OnePlus 13R has a flat display. Both are fantastic OLED panels with 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.
Side-by-side, both have slim bezels and excellent screen-to-body ratios. Nothing really separates them there.
But OnePlus has an LTPO OLED panel, which supports VRR — meaning it can vary refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120 Hz. This helps with gaming and battery life.
Outdoors, OnePlus is brighter. But when watching HDR content on YouTube, Moto Edge 60 Pro performs better with brighter specular highlights and a more vibrant display.
Motorola is also Panone-validated for better colour accuracy and skin tones. However, OnePlus supports HDR on YouTube and Netflix (HDR10+ and Dolby Vision), while Motorola supports HDR only on YouTube.
Haptics, Audio, and Extras
OnePlus has better haptic feedback with O-Haptics and a higher PWM dimming rate.
We tested stereo speakers: Moto Edge 60 Pro supports Dolby Atmos, sounds louder, richer, and has more bass than OnePlus.
Both phones support LDAC and LHDC codecs, which is great news for audiophiles.
Performance and Gaming
- OnePlus 13R: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage
- Moto Edge 60 Pro: Dimensity 8350 Extreme, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage
OnePlus wins in benchmarks and gaming. In CPU and GPU stress tests, Moto Edge 60 Pro was more stable but slightly less powerful.
OnePlus pushes performance harder but heats up more and loses battery faster.
In Genshin Impact, OnePlus has higher FPS. Also, it supports 120 FPS in BGMI, while Moto Edge 60 Pro does not.
Battery and Charging
Both phones have a 6,000 mAh battery.
- OnePlus 13R: lithium-ion

Charging speeds:
- Moto Edge 60 Pro: 90W

Both include chargers and take around 52–53 minutes to fully charge.
Moto Edge 60 Pro also supports 15W wireless charging — an advantage.
In tests:
- Moto Edge 60 Pro: 9h 20m screen-on time
- OnePlus 13R: 8h 30m screen-on time
Motorola wins in battery efficiency and longevity.
