OPPO A7 Pro Debuts with an 8,000mAh Battery, MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max SoC and a Single Rear Camera

OPPO has introduced the new OPPO A7 Pro in China, bringing one of the biggest batteries seen on a modern smartphone along with a high-refresh-rate OLED display and MediaTek’s Dimensity 6360 Max chipset. The smartphone is designed for users who prioritise battery life, durability and everyday performance, although its unusual single rear camera setup makes it stand out from many competitors in its price category.

The biggest highlight of the OPPO A7 Pro is its massive 8,000mAh battery. With smartphones increasingly being used for gaming, video streaming, social media, navigation and work, battery capacity has become an important factor for buyers. The A7 Pro is aimed at users looking for extended battery endurance and potentially multi-day usage, depending on individual usage patterns. The handset also supports 45W wired charging.

6.57-Inch OLED Display with 120Hz Refresh Rate

The OPPO A7 Pro features a 6.57-inch flexible OLED display with a resolution of 2372 × 1080 pixels. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which can provide smoother scrolling, animations and supported gaming experiences.

The screen also supports 10-bit colours and offers peak brightness of up to 1,400 nits, making it suitable for viewing content in different lighting conditions.

MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max Powers the Device

Under the hood, the OPPO A7 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max SoC. The chipset is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The smartphone is expected to handle everyday activities such as social media, web browsing, video streaming, messaging and multitasking comfortably. OPPO has also included a 4,300mm² VC cooling system to help manage heat during demanding workloads.

A Single 50MP Rear Camera

One of the most surprising aspects of the OPPO A7 Pro is its camera setup. Instead of using multiple rear cameras, the smartphone comes with a single 50MP autofocus primary camera.

The front of the device features an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. While the 50MP main sensor should handle standard photography needs, the lack of an additional ultra-wide or telephoto camera could be a disadvantage for users looking for more versatile photography options.

Android 16 and Strong Durability Ratings

On the software side, the OPPO A7 Pro runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. The device also comes with multiple dust and water resistance ratings, including IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K, making durability another major selling point of the smartphone.

OPPO A7 Pro Price and Availability

The OPPO A7 Pro has been launched in China with a starting price of CNY 2,199 for the 6GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. An 8GB + 256GB version is also available at a higher price. The smartphone is currently announced for the Chinese market, and OPPO has not yet confirmed its global or Indian availability.
